Halloween Disco

Come along to our annual Halloween Disco on Saturday 31st October 4-6pm. Games, fancy dress competition, refreshments, bar, dancing and lots of fun. Children must be accompanied by an adult (adults have free entry), children 50p each.

50p Sale at our Charity shops

Starting Monday 21st September our famous 50p sale starts at the Nearly New Zealand Charity shop on Campion St and the New Zealand Chari-tea shop on Uttoxeter Old Rd. All clothes, shoes, handbags 50p for all week. Pop in and grab yourself a real bargain.

The first annual Good Neighbour of the Year awards were held on Saturday 29th August, after the AGM, at the Lonny Wilsoncroft Community Centre, Stepping Lane, Derby. There were 3 categories that people could nominate their friends and neighbours for - 1st the most helpful/friendliest shop assistant - this was won by Annie and Jane of the Old Rd Cafe, who received alot of nominations from their customers who all think they are great, friendly and go out of their way to give that extra special service. 2nd the Good Neighbour of the Year - this was won by Brian Bradbury of Uttoxeter Old Rd, wh...

Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting of the New Zealand Community Association will be held on 29th August 2015 at the Lonny Wilsoncroft Community Centre, Stepping Lane, Derby DE1 1GL starting at 6.30pm. Followed by the first Good Neighbour of the Year Awards. All are welcome.

Gala Day 2015

Our next event is Gala Day on Saturday 18th July, on Cheviot St Recreation Ground, starting at 11am until 4pm. This is a family fun day, with lots of different activities including a dog show, sports races for the young and young at heart. bouncy castle and obstacle course, charity stalls, refreshments, a table top sale, which you can participate in for the cost of just £5.00 for a pitch. The winners of the New Zealand Garden Competition will be announced. So hopefully we will have a great event, that the community will enjoy. Come and join us. If you are able to help us set up at 8.30am...
