Our next event is Gala Day on Saturday 18th July, on Cheviot St Recreation Ground, starting at 11am until 4pm. This is a family fun day, with lots of different activities including a dog show, sports races for the young and young at heart. bouncy castle and obstacle course, charity stalls, refreshments, a table top sale, which you can participate in for the cost of just £5.00 for a pitch. The winners of the New Zealand Garden Competition will be announced. So hopefully we will have a great event, that the community will enjoy. Come and join us. Well what a Gala Day we had this year! After all the beautiful weather throughout the week to then have the rain! We did know to expect it, but we hoped the weather forecasters might have got it wrong! Never mind - we carry on regardless. So a big thank you to all the people who came down in their wellies and umbrellas to support us, and there were quite a number of you. Even bigger thanks to the volunteers who helped run the event, under these circumstances. The New Zealand Annual Gala Day is fast approaching. Saturday 19th July 2014 on the Cheviot St Recreation Ground between 11am and 4pm. Many stalls including - Teddy Tombola, Charity stalls, Maypole, Bouncy Castle and Bungee Run, Refreshments, face painting, games, sports races in the afternoon, a dog show, Coe-Coe the clown to entertain the children, Grand Prize Draw, and the New Zealand Garden Competition results will be announced. So come along for a fun filled day for all the family!

Saturday 3rd August 2013 is the date, Cheviot Street Recreation Ground the place and 11.00 am the time, of our annual Gala Day. Parade starts at around 10,30 from the Lonny Wilsoncroft Community Centre, Stepping Lane. Join us on a walk down to the park, led by the Rolls Royce Marching band. A fun day for all the family with many attractions, including the Cestrefeld Viking Reenactment Group setting up camp and showing us how they lived in the middle ages.
