To all New Zealand Residents. Don't miss the chance to come and have your say on your neighbourhood - Monday 25th January at the Lonny Wilsoncroft Community Centre, Stepping Lane, Derby DE11GL. Doors will open at 6.30pm for a 7.00pm start. Please come along and share your concerns or ideas for our neighbourhood.

Can I on behalf of the New Zealand Community Association wish all our residents a Happy and Prosperous New Year. There are some big changes coming in the near future, we will be losing our Safer Neighbourhood Team Manager, Ray Gibson, who has worked so hard for us, at the end of March, as the council cuts take more effect. In fact the Council are getting rid of Neighbourhood Boards altogether. Neighbourhood Boards were a wonderful innovation, which gave local residents the chance to make decisions on how money would be spent in their area, and gave them the chance to make their own prioriti...

The Christmas Window Competition is now closed. We have had 4 entries which are as follows - 43 Arnold St - the theme is Santas Workshop. 51 Stanley St the theme is Its beginning to look alot like Christmas 66 Stanley St, the theme is The Angel of the Lord Came Down and finally 31 Mackenzie St where the theme is A Starry Night. Thanks to all that attended the Jumble Sale, we raised £220.26 for our mini bus fund. A big thank you to all of our volunteers without whom we could not have managed. Don't forget our Christmas Hamper Appeal, bring a tin or packet of food into one of the charity shops or get in touch if you need us to collect from your home. Nominate people that you know may need a helping hand this Christmas, and we will do the rest.

Why not join our new Craft Club, which meets every Wednesday evening between 7-9pm at the Lonny Wilsoncroft Community Centre, Stepping Lane, Derby DE1 1GL. All welcome, beginners or experienced crafters, we are all learning from each other.
