New Zealand Local Election Debate

Thanks to everyone who attended the Local Election Debate tonight at the Lonny Wilsoncroft Community Centre. It was wonderful to hear from 4 of the 6 candidates that will be standing in the upcoming election.

About 50 people attended the meeting chaired by Lisa Higginbottom, who did a fabulous job of making sure everyone got a chance to answer the questions put to them.

It was fantastic to hear the opinions of all the candidates in a good humoured and friendly atmosphere.

Next Monday will be the next New Zealand Residents Meeting, doors opening at 6.30pm for a 7pm start.

Councillor Diane Froggatt will be at the centre from 6pm holding a surgery for anyone who would like to speak to her privately before the public meeting.
