I would like to take this opportunity to wish all our supporters a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and thank you all for your support over the past 12 months.
We are looking forward to the next year and all it may hold.
As you will know we are at present trying to raise funds to purchase a mini bus, to help us in our community. The Price of a brand new bus with access for a wheelchair is £30,000, so at almost £15,000 we are just about half way there.
However, we could buy a mini bus which has been sat on the forecourt for a year but never been used for just over £20,000, which means the goal of buying the mini bus is very much within our reach.
With that in mind we feel that with a bit of hard work, and your support we could actually be in a position to buy the mini bus within the next 12 months.
Each month we put on a fundraising activity, usually at the Lonny Wilsoncroft Community Centre. These events are very well organised, good value for money and those that attend always enjoy the event.
So could I ask our supporters that if you are available you come along and support the events we put on. I can promise that you won't regret it and by doing this you will be helping us to reach our goal of purchasing the mini bus.
Please keep on supporting us through donating your unwanted items to the charity shops, buying from our charity shops, taking part in our Give as You live Campaign, (which actually costs you nothing but a little time), collecting your pennies for our small change appeal and attending the events we put on to raise funds.
If you have any fundraising ideas please get in touch with us. We are very open to suggestions. If you fancy doing a sponsored something or other to help us out let us know.
We are always in need of help particularly for the New Zealand Gala Day, so if you have ideas, or a little time please get involved with the organising of it.
Once again, enjoy the Christmas festivities and the New Year, and thank you for your continued support.
We do not currently have an appeal running
