Just wanted to make local residents aware of a situation my daughter saw on our way home from the Charity Shop on Campion St yesterday.
A young woman was seen looking through a dustbin on Stanley Street and removing two bags of rubbish.
The resident of the house must have seen something through the window and came out looking very puzzled as to why someone had taken her rubbish away.
Last year, we got a message from the Local Neighbourhood Officer, Ray Gibson regarding people who were looking through bins for letters with peoples names and addresses on.
Following this incident, it looks like it might be happening again, so please be careful what you put into your bin. Take your bin off the street if you can, make sure you shred any sensitive information, so that other people cannot use it for their own purposes.
Please pass this information on to your neighbours.
Thanks very much
