Can I say a big thank you to all the people who came into the charity shops last week and enjoyed the bargains in our 50p sale. Next week we start our toy and book sale. Every item 10p. So come along and get yourself some more bargains.

Great News! We have two fantastic sales coming up at our Charity shops on Campion St and Uttoxeter Old Rd. The first starts on Monday 22nd February, lasting all week, the 50p sales week. All clothes,shoes, handbags, bedlinen, curtains for 50p an item. Our second sale starts on Monday 29th February and includes toys and books, all for 10p an item. So make sure you pop in to one or both of our shops and grab yourselves some bargains. We look forward to seeing you!

This month, (February) the Kiwi Craft Club will be doing the following activities. 2nd - Quilling; 9th - Easter Cards and Easter Egg decoration; 16th - Alcohol Inks; 23rd - Brusho. We meet every Wednesday at 7pm at the Lonny Wilsoncroft Community Centre, Stepping Lane, Derby DE1 1GL for two hours. The price is £3.00 per session. So come along and join us and learn new skills or share your skills with us.

Can I on behalf of the New Zealand Community Association wish all our residents a Happy and Prosperous New Year. There are some big changes coming in the near future, we will be losing our Safer Neighbourhood Team Manager, Ray Gibson, who has worked so hard for us, at the end of March, as the council cuts take more effect. In fact the Council are getting rid of Neighbourhood Boards altogether. Neighbourhood Boards were a wonderful innovation, which gave local residents the chance to make decisions on how money would be spent in their area, and gave them the chance to make their own prioriti...
