We are fast approaching our Annual Children's Halloween Disco - Saturday 26th October 4 till 6pm at the Lonny Wilsoncroft Community Centre, Stepping Lane, Derby DE1 1GL. So if you want a bit of fiendish fun, ghoulish grub, dastardly dancing, or simply dressing up why not pop along and join us. Its just 50p per child,(adults must accompany the children). You will also have the chance to put your childs name down for the Childrens Christmas party in December. Hopefully we'll see you there.

Ladies, Glam Nite is just a week away. Saturday 28th at the Lonny Wilsoncroft Community Centre Stepping Lane, Derby DE1 1GL. Doors open at 7pm. We will be entertained by the Moonhare Tribal Dance Troupe, sweet refreshments and bar available, Stand Up Bingo and lots of good music and fashion items for sale. So come along and enjoy a relaxing fun evening with us.

What a fantastic day we have had today. Debbie Jones (Asda Community Champion) popped along with a cake and non alcoholic bubbly and a BIG cheque for over £32,000 towards our roof and boiler fund. She brought with her Her boss, Steve and Matt the Spondon store manager. They met the many volunteers who came to celebrate with us. We are looking forward to arranging the work in the coming months. And our really sincere thanks to Asda for their very generous grant.

We have three Friday trips for August which are as follows - August 9th - Mercia Marina August 16th - Denby Pottery August 30th - National Memorial Arboretum We are just asking for a £2.00 donation towards diesel. So if you feel like getting out and about, meeting new people and generally having a fun afternoon, why not get in touch and book a seat. A big thank you to everyone who came along to Handford St Park yesterday to attend our Gala Day. We hope you enjoyed the day. If you have any suggestions of how we could make things better or new things we could do, let us know and we will see what we can do. I have to thank our many volunteers without whom we would not be able to put on this event and the many other events we hold each year, but this one is particular is a time consuming and very physical activity.
